LittleBigPlanet

LittleBigPlanet is known to be the next big thing in PlayStation 3 console. The recently released (sometime early November) game evolves around avatars known as Sackboys making it all simple or complicated as how you want it to be.  It allows you to create a standalone story that is so inventive in nature making it somehow a good reason to purchase one.  The goal of the game is to create a series of platforms to play around and jump through the several levels built-around by the game.  You can take simply fifteen minutes to get the job done or spend several hours creating an arc for a fully detached working maneuver where each levels content are being created by you!

The players are able to alter their characters to build new objects for sharing on the online community of LittleBigPlanet. And within seconds after sharing, you can get the chance to be playing around with several hundreds of others around.  The game is similar to what physics is all about where Sackboy is being built around by having only two abilities – and that is to jump and grab!  And here in the game is where you can see the power of the two to manipulate things. You would be able to realize how jumping and grabbing enables you to pull blocks in place, or pulling over to keep items tumbling from over the top.

Gameplay

The gameplay of the LittleBigPlanet consists of several levels each drawing inspirations from gardens, cities, and deserts from the around the globe.  You need to be able to complete the levels so you would be able to advance further to unlocked levels The whole game composed eight levels and each composing three to four sub levels, thus, the whole story is built around 50 levels all in all.

During the course of the game, each levels contains a number of bubbles, which needs to be collected to increase a players’ score. You are required to look for this in hidden parts of the areas because it may able you to see new materials and objects for your own level creation.  On the other hand, each levels allows you to collect keys to unlocked a bonus mini new levels 

Pros

• It gives players creative freedom from choosing their characters on what best color and texture to give Sackboy from a wide coverage of designs and materials to choose from. Not just characters but the creative freedom to design your own levels too.
• It provides brilliant physics-based game where you are on constant thinking on how to pass each level.  It excercises your mind through the creation of your own Sackboys and your own levels. It allows you to choose and design creatively the simple or complicated levels you wish to overcome.

Cons

• Although it is good to share this game online, sometimes it seems to be overcrowded.  The four players seem to be hard to control under one pod space. 
• The game control might not be razor sharp as we felt some minor delays with the navigation and output. In other word, there is a delay of reaction between what you want your Sackboy and control to do.

In general, the game seems to be so promising and we are looking forward to the day that it will share the successes of Mario Brothers!
