MySims Party the First of Many to Come

MySims Party (See GameSpot Page or official MySims page) for the Nintendo DS and Wii video game consoles has helped launch a new sub-genre of Sims franchise video games that are suitable for kids of all ages.

“When we created the MySims world, we believed that the MySims characters could be part of a variety of different gaming experiences. We are thrilled to bring MySims Party and MySims Racing to fans and new players alike.” said Tim LeTourneau, Executive in Charge of Production for MySims, earlier this year.

“We’ve had great success with MySims, with both the original game and this autumn’s MySims Kingdom. Players have really connected with the characters and now we are giving them two completely new and exciting experiences. We believe that MySims Party and MySims Racing, are great ways to couple the creativity and humor players love about the franchise with great multi-player arcade gameplay.”

MySims Party and MySims Racing were developed at The Sims Studio. MySims Party is rated 3+ by PEGI, MySims Racing has not yet been rated.

If you’re a fan of either of these games (or you know someone in your household who is a fan), there’s good news for you later this year. There’s already mention of a MySims Agents coming in Fall 2009. That’s not too far away. Until then, you’ll have to be satisfied with these two – which aren’t bad at all.

Whether you’re a serious gamer or a very young gamer, there’s going to be something about the MySims that you really enjoy. Fun for family members of all ages is rare these days, so when games like this come out, it’s really good to support them by purchasing them. This lets the game companies know what types of games they should produce in the future.
