If you read the review at GameSpot for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow for the Xbox 360, you’ll see that it’s a good name, just not great. It is a visually beautiful game. Stunning is a word you could use about some of the scenes. And the combat – really good when you consider how many bad combat systems are out there these days. Finally, even the voice acting isn’t that bad.
What makes the game miss the “great” title is the small details. The fixed camera angle makes the game difficult at times. Also, some of the puzzles are puzzling, but not really fun. And when you think about it, games are supposed to be about fun. And the story for the latest Castlevania just isn’t up to par. It’s almost as if they’re trying too hard – or maybe not hard enough.
Whatever it is, hard core Castlevania fans are going to want to get this game for their collection, but others who have never played are probably going to get really bored really quick. You could try renting the game, however, and see if it’s for you. If you look at the sales for Castlevania, there are actually quite a few people who enjoy and love the game. It is kind of hit or miss, though.
While the game world is visually stunning, with one camera angle, you can’t really explore it as much as you want to, which takes away from the game. Still, if you want something old school and modern at the same time, the latest Castlevania game for the Xbox 360 might be for you.

If you’re a soccer fan – or football as they call it elsewhere in the world – you’re going to love FIFA Soccer 11 for the Xbox. According to the review at Gamespot, it is a very playable game that has been refined over the years. In fact, everything learned from the previous ten games was packed into this one, making it a better game in many ways. As for the players, the game has seen many great reviews all over the Internet.
The new Career Mode takes the best things from the Manager and Be A Pro modes and puts them together, making for a better way to play. Also, the new eleven vs eleven multiplayer version is a lot of fun.
On the negative side, there aren’t that many new features in the game. Also, the career mode isn’t all that realistic in many ways, which takes away from game play. Still, when you consider the improvements made, not having new features that are buggy is probably a good thing.
If you were tired of seeing the same passes over and over in previous FIFA soccer games, you’ll be pleased to know that they’ve changed it up quite a bit in this version. Now, not all passes are going to look the same. This really adds to the realism of the game in some ways.
In the new career mode, you play for a 15-year career as a player, a manager, or both at the same time. It’s not anything really new, but it’s still pretty cool to play this way. Overall, most who played FIFA Soccer 11 said the same thing – not a lot of new stuff, but a refinement of the old stuff.

Everybody wants a great sound system but these days, stereos are practically obsolete. People listen to music over their cell phones, their computers and laptops, their iPods and other MP3 players, and their docking stations. And as most of us well know, the speaker situations on such devices often leave a lot to be desired. That is why we are going to take a look at the Twisted System Portable Speakers. Now, before you start suffering from visions of homespun sound systems for football games and bus tours, bear in mind that these nifty little speakers are an entirely different species.
The Twisted System Portable Speakers are designed to travel with you, so you never have to give up listening to your favorite songs. If you are on holiday but still want to rock out to your favorite punk or pop songs, then these are definitely the speaker for you. Naturally, you get two speakers when you buy. Cube shaped, they are about 70 millimeters and can be twisted to change their sound projection to different directions. They are not tiny enough to hide away in a pocket, but neither are they cumbersome. Although still comparably small, they really bring the sounds when plugged into a cell phone or other mobile device. The sounds are sharp and the bass is strong. Continue reading →
